Detailed Itinerary
1 Arrive in Vilnius, Lithuania

Arrive in Lithuania’s capital, where Baroque architecture, Neoclassical landmarks and a thriving café culture set the stage for your journey. Settle into your hotel before gathering for dinner at its Michelin-starred restaurant.

Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius

Meals:

2 Vilnius - Castles and Cobblestones

Step into the past as you explore Vilnius’ Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a local expert. Walking along its cobbled streets, you pass Vilnius Cathedral, the Duke’s Palace, and St. Anne’s Church before reaching the Gates of Dawn, home to a revered Renaissance-era Madonna. Cross the Vilnia River into the self-proclaimed Republic of Uzupis, a haven for artists and creatives, where you meet a local resident and visit the Uzupis Art Incubator. Later, venture to Trakai Island Castle, a striking 14th-century fortress set on the shores of Lake Galve.

Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius

Meals:

3 Kaunas & Liepaja, Latvia - Modernism and Maritime Tales

Travel west to Kaunas, Lithuania’s second city, where medieval landmarks sit alongside interwar modernist gems. Visit the Old Town Hall and Kaunas Cathedral before heading to New Town to admire architectural highlights that include the Resurrection Church and the House of Iljinai — the latter an A&K-exclusive visit. Continue into Latvia, arriving in the coastal city of Liepaja, and settle into your waterfront hotel before gathering for dinner.

Promenade Hotel

Meals:

4 Liepaja - Where History Meets the Sea

Begin the day with a walk along Liepaja’s sandy coastline and through the lush greenery of Jurmala Park. Wander the historic streets of Old Town, where pastel-hued buildings surround bustling Rose Square. Enjoy a private organ concert at Holy Trinity Cathedral, home to the world’s oldest unreconstructed mechanical organ, before taking a private tour of the Great Amber Concert Hall. This afternoon, visit Karosta, a former Russian Imperial and Soviet naval base, where abandoned fortresses and a former military prison reveal a fascinating and haunting past.

Promenade Hotel

Meals:

5 Kuldiga & Jurmala - Storybook Streets and Seaside Splendor

Drive to Kuldiga, a picture-perfect town of wooden houses and cobbled streets that was once the capital of the Duchy of Courland. Cross the longest brick bridge in Europe and marvel at the broad cascades of Venta Waterfall. Stop for an exclusive farm-to-table lunch at a family-owned bakery and brewery in Engure. Continue to Jurmala, where 19th-century wooden villas and an elegant seaside promenade evoke a bygone era. Arrive this evening in Riga, the dynamic capital of Latvia.

Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga

Meals:

6 Riga - Design Your Day

Uncover the charm of Riga’s Old Town, where medieval spires and pastel-colored facades tell a story of Hanseatic wealth. Visit the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, and the famous "Three Brothers" houses. Stroll through the Art Nouveau District, home to over 800 magnificent buildings, before enjoying a private tour of the Art Nouveau Museum. Later, customize your experience with one of these Design Your Day activities:

  • Hike in Kemeri National Park, walking along scenic boardwalks through pristine wetlands.
  • Explore on a Private Canal Cruise, sipping champagne as you glide past historic landmarks.
  • Relax at Your Hotel’s Spa, indulging in a rejuvenating massage or wellness treatment.

This evening, toast your Baltic adventure with a cocktail on the terrace of Michelin Guide-featured Stage 22, followed by a five-star dinner experience.

Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga

Later, experience an A&K-exclusive farm-to-table lunch at Zipari Farm, an authentic immersion into Latvian traditions and with a chance to taste homemade delicacies. Venture to Estonia and settle into your hotel in Tartu.

Tartu is Estonia’s university town and a thriving center of culture and innovation. Explore Dome Hill, visit St. John’s Church, and tour the dynamic Aparaaditehas district, once a Soviet-era industrial complex and now an artistic haven. Enjoy a curator-led tour of the Estonian National Museum, followed by a thought-provoking discussion over lunch. Later, drive to Tallinn and check into your hotel.
